The purpose of the RBWN scholarship is to provide tuition assistance to an individual who identifies as a female candidate graduating from high school, subject to eligibility requirements below, and enrolling in an undergraduate program in the fall.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Applicant must be scholastically responsible with a grade point average of “B” (3.0) or better at the time of the application and provide a copy of report card or official transcript for the 2022-2023 academic year to date.
- Applicant must be accepted to at least one certified undergraduate program for the fall semester immediately following the submission of the application and plan to attend such program.
- Applicant must be graduating from high school in the spring of 2023 from:
- A high school located in Rockland County, NY
- A high school outside of Rockland County, but applicant must live in Rockland County
- Applicant must submit one (1) recommendation letter from a non-family member (additional recommendation letters will not be reviewed).
- Applicant must submit a description of extracurricular and community service activities.
- Applicant must submit an essay of 500 words or less describing how a positive female role model has influenced the applicant’s life and/or her community (longer essays will not be considered).
- Once selected, candidate must submit proof of acceptance for the upcoming academic year by May 1, 2023.
- Scholarship recipients must participate in the RBWN Women of Achievement event on June 7, 2023. The scholarship recipient will be asked to read her essay at this event. In addition, they will be requested to submit a head shot photograph for publicity purposes. The scholarship recipient and one guest will be complimentary guests of RBWN for the event.
