Details:
If an individual is not eligible for federal stimulus funds or unemployment insurance due to the immigration status, and they have experienced hard times because of the COVID-19 pandemic, they can apply for the Washington COVID-19 Immigrant Relief Fund.
Funding Information
- If the application is approved, an individual can receive at least $1,000.
- It is not a loan and individuals need not pay anything back.
Eligibility Criteria
- Any individual who lives in Washington at the time he/she applies and the money can only be sent to a Washington State address.
- Have been significantly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. This could include losing hours at work, losing your job, contracting the virus, or caring for a family member who contracted it.
- Be ineligible to receive unemployment insurance or federal stimulus funds because of immigration status (Refugees, people granted asylum, COFA migrants, DACA recipients, and other people who have legal authorization to work in the United States are not eligible for this fund).
