The Duncan E. McGregor & Lillian M. McGregor Scholarships were established at the Lincoln Community Foundation to benefit students from six communities in central Nebraska. Duncan E. and Lillian McGregor worked and prospered in central Nebraska.

Eligibility Criteria

  • To apply, you must be a current graduating senior or former graduate of Ansley, Arcadia, Gibbon, Ord, Sargent, or Shelton High Schools in Nebraska; demonstrate scholastic application and achievement in high school and/or college studies; have resided in a community served and maintained by an exchange served by the Nebraska Central Telephone Company during his/her high school education.
  • Those communities include Ansley, Arcadia, Ashton, Boelus, Burwell, Comstock, Dannebrog, Elba, Ericson, Gibbon, Litchfield, Mason City, North Loup, Ravenna, Rockville, Sargent, Scotia, Shelton, and Taylor. The applicant must demonstrate financial need. Those who receive scholarships are eligible to reapply for additional scholarships in subsequent academic years, however preference will be given to current graduating seniors of the six high schools mentioned above.

Required with Application

High school or college transcript(s) (copies of transcripts are acceptable) and first page of your FAFSA Report. High school seniors must submit their high school transcript; high school graduates need only submit their college transcripts.
