D.A.R.E honors exceptional individuals, organizations, and businesses that have exemplified the lives of individuals with disabilities. The award ceremony is held annually to recognize award winners that made a commitment to improving the quality of life for all residents and communities of Phoenix. Award categories include Architectural, Business, Community Service, Outstanding Educator, and the Det. Olsen Lifetime Achievement Award.
The goal is to inspire others to emulate the honorees and provide inclusivity for the community.

Eligibility Criteria
- Nominees must reside or be employed in the city of Phoenix AND have made an impact in the lives of individuals with disabilities in the city of Phoenix.
- Nominations must have accurate and current contact information for both nominee and nominator with a complete description of the nominee’s achievements, scope of activities and impact, and/or influence with the disability community.
- Nominees are evaluated by an independent committee based on written submissions and community impact utilizing a rubric point system.
