In an effort to elevate the conversation on the power of technology to help Black businesses scale and stay ‘in the black’ BIA is partnering with Google on the Back in the Black Tour. BIA will visit four cities (Macon, GA, Twin Cities, MN, San Diego, CA and Philadelphia, PA) to highlight business owners who have leveraged technology in various ways to survive and thrive through the COVID-19 pandemic. The town halls will also provide local entrepreneurs tactical tips and strategies so that they too might activate key platforms, products and online tools to take their business to the next level, build generational wealth and spur economic development!
- Each winner will receive $10,000 and be invited to share their story at their city’s town hall.
- Back in the Black Contest powered by Google (the “Contest”) is open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry.
- Employees of Black Innovation Alliance and other companies associated with the promotion of the Contest, and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates and advertising and promotion agencies, as well as the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) and household members of such employees are not eligible.
