The Lawrence Cultural Arts Commission’s Outdoor Downtown Sculpture Exhibition has a proud tradition. The exhibition was founded by Jim Patti and is sponsored by the Lawrence Cultural Arts Commission, which receives financial and staff support from the City of Lawrence. Works are displayed in downtown Lawrence, along Massachusetts Street, at Theatre Lawrence, and in other areas.
The ODSE is sponsored by the Lawrence Cultural Arts Commission, which receives financial and staff support from the City of Lawrence. A range of works are displayed in downtown Lawrence along Massachusetts Street, in the Cultural District and in select sites city-wide.
Funding Information
Selected artists will receive a $1,750 honorarium for each selected or commissioned work.
Criteria and Specifications for Selection
This call is seeking artists and/or teams wishing to be considered to develop work for this temporary, one-year long public art exhibition program. Works that explore an expanded, ephemeral notion of art in the public realm are strongly encouraged. This might include:
- Performance, Music, Spoken Word
- Interactive
- Socially Inspired
- Temporary Installations
- Dance
- Video Projections
- or other Innovative Approaches
Eligibility Information
Open to all artists 18 years of age or older. All entries must be original work and may not have been shown previously in this exhibition.
