Clark County Parks and Recreation presents LIFE IN DEATH: DIA DE LOS MUERTOS in conjunction with a two-day festival featuring displays, an art exhibit, performances, craft sales and food vendors at Winchester Cultural Center and Park, 3130 S. McLeod Drive. The event will explore cultural traditions related to the Mexican holiday of El Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead. The Gallery will host an exhibition of various artists celebrating the art of Day of the Dead and will feature the beauty that comes from such a unique event. Artists are advised to learn Day of the Dead traditions, which honor the dead, but also confront death itself, often with a humorous attitude. Day of the Dead should not be confused with Halloween.

- Experienced: Best in Show: $300, Honorable Mention $150 (x2)
Eligibility Criteria
- The artist agrees to leave their work up through the end of the exhibit date. No artist can remove their artwork without consent of the Clark County Public Art.
- Artist MUST be available for pick-up and drop off date to sign in and sign out their work. Artwork must be hand delivered or shipped to the address on this form. If shipping the work, the costs of roundtrip shipping are at the artist’s expense and must be pre-paid and on time,
- Open to any artist 14 and older,
- No entry fee,
- Must be original artwork
- Up to three pieces of art can be submitted. If submitting a sculpture send images of multiple views.
