The New Jersey Arts Annual is a unique series of exhibitions highlighting the State’s visual and performing artists. In partnership with major museums around the state, one exhibition takes place each year, alternating between host institutions. These exhibitions are open to any artist currently living or working in New Jersey.

The Arts Annual series is sponsored by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, a partner agency of the National Endowment of the Arts.
The 2023 Arts Annual is open to New Jersey Artists working in any medium (visual, audio, video) who wish to explore the crises climate change and the inequality of climate resilience. Artists will be encouraged to offer local to global perspectives. Two galleries will be dedicated at each location, Arts Garage in Atlantic City and Kramer Hall, Hammonton. This will provide more dedicated space to exhibit many New Jersey Artists.
The Noyes Museum of Art of Stockton University welcomes submissions to the Mother Nature vs Human Nature: The Inequity of Climate Resilience from February 1 – June 24, 2023. This open call invites a range of artistic practices and media that explore the Climate Crisis theme. In addition to the exhibition, dedicated programs will be offered in conjunction with the exhibition like lectures, podcasts, panel discussion, etc.
All submissions must represent work that:
- Has been completed within the past two years.
- Is available for the complete duration of the exhibition.
Eligibility Criteria
Artists must be over the age of 21 and either live or work in the state of New Jersey.
