The Program will provide financial grants, reimbursements, or in-kind services for specific purposes related to counteracting the adverse impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Program is funded through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and administered by the Town of East Hartford’s Development Office, with assistance from the Connecticut River Valley Chamber of Commerce. It is intended to help businesses and the community become stronger and prosper. Grants may be used for hiring of new employees, physical plan/infrastructure expansion, new equipment purchase, or facade renovations.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, businesses must be located in or establishing a presence in East Hartford, and they must have been in operation as of January 1, 2019. They must be in good standing with federal, state, and local taxes and labor laws. Priority will be given to Certified Minority/Women-owned Business enterprises, Certified Small Business Enterprises, and veteran-owned businesses.
