PeopleFund has been selected as the administrator of the program and will provide participants with free small business education and one-on-one business coaching.
Funding Information
$5,000 grant to further help their small businesses be successful.
Eligibility Criteria
- Business must be located within Horizon City limits.
- Both startup small businesses and existing small businesses are eligible.
- Existing small businesses may not have more than 500 employees or $1 million in average annual receipts.
- Applicant must meet one of the following:
- Member of historically underserved population, such as Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), women, low to moderate-income, veteran, etc.
- Their small business was negatively impacted by the pandemic.
- They were unable to start their small business due to the impact of the pandemic.
- They are starting a business to meet a need caused by the pandemic.
- Applicant must complete a program application.
- Applicant must provide a signed IRS W-9 form and a business TIN, EIN, or SSN.
- Applicant must verify that they are not involved in any litigation.
- Applicant must verify that they are not debarred, suspended, terminated, or otherwise excluded from (or ineligible to) transact with a federal, state, or local government entity or agency.
- Applicant must verify that as of January 2022, they were not delinquent on taxes.
- Applicant must not be involved in any ineligible business activity: nonprofit, adult entertainment, gambling or gaming, real estate investment or passive real estate income, or anything deemed federally illegal; for instance, strip clubs, casinos, game rooms, etc.
