Applications are now open for the first cohort of EMPOWER, a 16-week accelerator for women, transwomen, and non-binary people in STEM in Arkansas that have an innovation that they would like to explore ways to bring their idea and/or research to market through accessing non-dilutive federal funding.

Startup Junkie is a team of passionate people working every day to help entrepreneurs win and communities thrive. They exist to educate, inspire, and support entrepreneurs and innovators through no-cost, one-on-one consulting; events, workshops, and programs; and access to capital and talent.
Over the course of the program, accepted applicants will learn about topics that focus on the impact of their innovation, commercialization strategies, and technical milestones that need to be achieved in order to bring their innovation to market during weekly webinar sessions. They will also be paired with industry mentors and technology mentors to help them apply their learnings during the weekly sessions to their innovation.
Applicants are encouraged to either complete the application in narrative form or video record themselves answering the questions on their phone. If you choose to video record yourself on your phone, they ask that the video be at a maximum of 1 minute and 30 seconds and that it be downloaded via Vimeo or Youtube.
