Funding Information
- The program features a grant of up to $500 per business and will be paid as a reimbursement to business or property owners based on actual costs for purchase and installation of security cameras.
- A total of $20,000 is available for the pilot program at this time.
Requirement
- Submit completed Grant application to the City of Palm Springs Community and Economic Development Department for review of camera placement;
- After receiving approval of the grant application, purchase and install a Security Camera System of applicant’s choice at the property;
- Register the Security Camera System with the Palm Springs Police Department
- Security Camera System must remain in place for three (3) years unless replaced by an upgraded system at the sole expense of the business/property owner;
- Complete an agreement with the City of Palm Springs and submit the following:
- Copy of Valid Palm Springs Business License (Applicant)
- Copy of Valid Palm Springs Business License (Contractor hired to perform work)
- o Completed W-9
- Proof of payment (up to $500) for purchase and installation of Commercial Security Camera System
- Evidence of authorization of signatory to execute legal documents on behalf of the business (i.e. most recent tax return, Articles of Incorporation or Statement of Information)
- Proof that all required City of Palm Springs permits, if any, have been attained. Contact the City’s Permit Center to determine if any permits are required.
